Taxi driver shot dead in Slaughter

AUTHORITIES continue to face a blank wall on their investigation following the shooting of a taxi driver on the evening of March 27 at Slaughter Compound in Baguio City.

Taxi driver Dexon Quezon Alos was shot by still unidentified suspects Tuesday evening. He was 35, married and a resident of Mamaga Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Initial investigation by the Baguio City Police Office Station 2 showed that the victim just finished eating from an eatery inside the flea market and proceeded to walk towards the road.

Upon reaching the sidewalk, the two unidentified suspects shot the victim several times to his head and torso.

The suspects fled on foot towards Lower Magsaysay after the incident.

Personnel of Station 2 led by Police Chief Inspector Gil Imado and other units responded to the place of incident for the possible arrest of the suspects but yielded negative result.

Scene of the Crime Operatives led by Chief Inspector Armando Hiquiana processed the crime scene while the remains of Alos was brought to the Bahay Damayan Funeral Homes for autopsy and examination.
