City tankers dominate

DAVAO City tankers dominate 81st Araw Ng Dabaw 2018 Interschool Swimming Competition that drew a total of 230 entries at the Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) in Matina, Davao City.

The most outstanding swimmers from Davao City were Alexi Jeane Laolao (boys eight years old and under), Zeed Eugene Daquepel (eight years old and under), Yuan Gabriel Taojo (boys 9-10 years old) multi-titled sisters Liaa Margarette Amoguis (girls 9-10 years old) and Lora Micah Amoguis (girls 11-12 years old), Khrystian Tan (boys 11-12 years old), Alissa Ysabelle Lazarraga (girls 13-14 years old), Joshua Raphael Del Rio (boys 13-14 years old), Ezra Villaruz (girls 15-16 years old), Selwyn Rex Cirunay (boys 15-16 years old), Chyll Bea Amparo (girls 17-18 years old) and Fritz Jun Rodriguez (boys 17-18 years old).

The one-day competition was presented by the League of Swimmers and Coaches in partnership with Sports Development Division-City Mayor's Office.

League of Swimmers and Coaches chairperson Antoinette Mendoza, in a previous interview with SunStar Davao, said other participants came from Agusan del Sur, Kidapawan City, Cagayan de Oro City and Polomok.

Kristine Joy Dasargo was hailed the most outstanding swimmer in the women's 19-above while State College and University Athletic Association champion Juan Antonio Mendoza and Private School Athletic Association title holder Kyle Pajarito shared the men's 19-above crown.
