PDEA-Davao sues 4 in drug den raid

CHARGES were filed Monday, April 2, before the prosecutor's office in Davao del Norte against an alleged notorious drug pusher and three others who were nabbed in a raid in Barangay Sto. Niño, Panabo City, last week.

Facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, is Robie Jay Ablen, alias Kokoy, 32, a vendor and resident of Purok Mangga in Barangay Sto. Niño in Panabo City.

Other suspects, who were in Ablen's place and are facing the same complaint, are Justine Mae Magallanes Montargo, Fe Isidro Gatchalian, and Michael Dag-uman Presciosa, from Panabo City.

The suspects were found in possession of two sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), weighing about 10.4863 grams and is worth P120,000, and assorted drug paraphernalia

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao arrested the four suspects around 6:50 p.m. following a search warrant issued by the court against Ablen.

PDEA-Davao Director Retired Superintendent Antonio Rivera said Presciosa was arrested inside the house of Ablen during the implementation of the search warrant.

The suspects are detained at the PDEA-Davao detention facility, while the seized illegal drugs were submitted to laboratory service of the office for qualitative and quantitative examination.
