AN online database developed by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) 7 will now allow the public to get up-to-date information on the status of various proposed and ongoing development projects in Central Visayas.
Called the Project Information Management System (PIMS), the online repository will be manned by PIMS focal persons from the different regional line agencies and local government units in the region.
The focal persons will ensure that project data—proposed or ongoing—is up-to-date information that can be accessed online. This is a system that promotes paperless submission by agencies.
The PIMS will be pilot-tested by the Department of Health (DOH) 7, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) 7, and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 7.
A memorandum of agreement (MOA) for this project was signed last March 16 by Regional Directors Jaime Bernadas of DOH 7, Rene Burdeos of DILG 7, and Asteria Caberte of DTI 7. Co-sigantories were RDC 7 Co-chairman Kenneth Cobonpue, RDC 7 Vice Chairman and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) 7 Director Efren Carreon, and RDC 7 Secretary and NEDA 7 Assistant Regional Director Dionisio C. Ledres, Jr.
The PIMS will also be implemented in five other agencies—Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Education, and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
