(Updated) Authorities seized a total of 17.54 grams or P206,972 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a series of operations in the villages of Poblacion and Taytay, Danao City.
Six pushers and six users were caught during operations led by Inspector Jan Ace Elcid Layug that started at 11:28 p.m. Wednesday, April 4 until 3:06 a.m. Thursday, April 5.
Superintendent Jaime Quiocho, the city police chief, said the pushers were identified as Maricar Miza Diaz, Arjan Salamden Ultiano Anggote, Melvin Gonzales Ceballos, Reynaldo Miao Formentera, Jonas Castro Alerta and Michael Dave Durano Toledo.
Ceballos, in particular, was arrested with 15.247 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P179,832 on P.G. Almendras Street, Barangay Poblacion, of the city.
Quicho said Ceballos is a new player in the narcotics business in the city.
A marked bill of P500 used in the drug bust and P1,300 cash were also seized from Ceballos.
The arrested users, meanwhile, are Vincent Hermosilla Barriga Ronald Banzon Barriga, Jeno Singson Veraque, Christian Rey Kyamko Laping, Tomasito Arnejo Cebuhano and Florencio Seco Cane Jr.
The suspects will be facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
