Bohol to host National Prisaa

THOUSANDS of student-athletes from 18 regions across the country will converge at the Carlos P. Garcia Sports Complex in Tagbilaran, Bohol on April 22 to 27 for the 2018 National Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) meet.

Athletes both from the youth and senior divisions will compete in baseball, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, football, sepak takraw, and softball, (individual sports) athletics, badminton, boxing, chess, dance sports, karate-do, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and tennis, among others.

Also featured in this weeklong event are academic and cultural competitions and the Mutya ng Prisaa competition.

Also to be staged are seminar and training of technical and officiating officials from April 19 to 21 at the Holy Name University; Prisaa National Board of Trustees and Officers Meeting, and Prisaa 2018 National Games Press Conference on April 21 at the Metro Centre Hotel and Convention Center.

The closing ceremony will be at the Bohol Cultural Center on April 27.

Meanwhile, expecting the huge volume of visitors coming over to Bohol, the provincial government has assured the participating delegation that security and safety measures are all set. (HGD)
