Woman nabbed in Bangkal drug bust

THE regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a woman on Wednesday evening for selling illegal drugs during a buy bust operation along Mirador Street, Central Park Subdivision, Bangkal, Davao City.

PDEA-Davao Information Officer III Noli Nephi D Dimaandal identified the suspect as Jovail Fulgarinas Deocareza. Deocareza was arrested by undercover operatives for selling two medium sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) weighing around 15 grams worth P42,000.

Apart from the illegal substance, a P1,000 marked money bill and 41 pieces of boodle money were also recovered from the suspects possession.

The operation was launched through the effort of joint elements from Pdea 11 led by Director Antonio E. Rivera, Police Precinct 3 (Talomo Police Station) led by Police Chief Superintendent Ronald L. Lao and 305th Air Intelligence Squadron led by second lieutenant Manny T. Lirazan.

Deocareza is currently detained at the Talomo Police detention facility while the seized illegal drugs were submitted to Forensic Laboratory Section of this office for qualitative and quantitative examination.
