Police looking for store manager who killed customer

THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has yet to locate the computer store manager who stabbed and killed a customer after a heated argument inside the SM North Edsa mall.

Leo Laab, manager of the PC Home Service Center located at the 5th floor of SM North Edsa Annex, allegedly stabbed Geroldo Ramon Querijero, 56, after a heated argument Thursday evening, April 5.

QCPD director Guillermo Eleazar said Querijero had his laptop repaired at the store. He was at the store Thursday evening to claim the item, but could not present a receipt or a job order.

Laab allegedly refused to give the laptop to Querijero, causing a heated argument between the two.

“Itong ating biktima allegedly kinukuha niya ‘yung laptop niya na pinagawa doon sa tindahan pero noong wala siyang maiprisinta na resibo or job order ayaw ibigay sakanya nitong si Laab na store manager kaya doon na sila nagkainitan,” Eleazar said.

Eleazar said Querijero left the store but returned after a few minutes later and allegedly punched Laab who in return threw a bottled water at the customer.

Laab then allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Quirijero several times.

Querijero was rushed to the JP Sioson General Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. He had sustained eight stab wounds in various parts of his body.

Eleazar said that based on initial investigation, Laab had purchased his knife from a hardware store in the mall. (SunStar Philippines)
