Panaad Festival road races set

A HUNDRED runners from across the province are expected to take the Negros Occidental roads on April 15, 21 and 22 for the Panaad Road Races.

On April 15, the 13K run men and women’s open category dust off the city road of Bacolod while on April 21, the 48.9km Panaad Team Relay kicks off with a total of 10 runners competing in each team for the Under 17, Open and Executive categories.

Among the events to compete on April 22 are the 3K Run for boys and girls, 5K for men and women, and the 5K Group Run.

For the Panaad relay, each team is composed of four females and six males.

Regional and Palarong Pambansa athletes, however, aren’t qualified for the Under 17 category.

During the relay event, first runner takes off from Panaad Stadium to Crossing Guanzon Coliseum where the second runner takes on the baton to Murcia Public Plaza; 3rd – to Lopez Jaena National High School; 4th – San Miguel Elementary School; 5th – Camp Nelson Gerona; 6th – back to San Miguel Elementary School; 7th – to Lopez Jaena National High School; 8th – to Murcia Public Plaza; 9th – Crossing Guanzon Coliseum; and finally back at the Panaad Stadium.
