Police arrest 2 fugitives in Zamboanga del Sur

POLICE arrested in separate operations two wanted persons involved in in Zamboanga del Sur on Thursday.

Chief Superintendent Edwin De Ocampo, deputy regional director for administration, identified them as Apdal Usman Bidu alias Atu Bidu and Marcus Isong.

De Ocampo said Bidu was arrested on Thursday at Purok 5 in the village of Lucoban, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

De Ocampo said Bidu has standing warrant of arrest for robbery issued by the court in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

He said Bidu along with Turon Asdin alias Turnado and four others were involved in the robbery of the Baganian Bus Transit in October 2016 that resulted to the death of the driver identified as Diosdado Retiza.

Isong on the other hand was arrested on Thursday at his residence in the village of Don Jose, Dinas town.

He said Isong, an alleged hired killer, has standing warrant of arrest for murder issued by the same court in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

Isong along with Gilbert Bualat and Renato Fuentevilla are believed to be responsible for couple of contract killings in Dinas town, according to De Ocampo. 

De Ocampo said Bualat and Feuntevilla, who are both at large, have signified intension to surrender. (SunStar Philippines)
