250 traffic enforcers to be deployed soon

THE training for newly hired traffic enforcers in Davao City is still ongoing, an official said.

Davao City Transportation and Traffic Management office (CTTMO) head Dionisio Abude told SunStar Davao on Sunday, April 15, that the additional 250 traffic personnel is expected to finish their two-week training by Saturday next week.

"After the training ipa-buddy namo sila sa old enforcer para ma-familiar gyud sila sa pag man sa traffic while waiting for their uniform (After the training we will allow them to accompany the old enforecers so that they will be familiar on how to man the traffic while waiting for their uniform),' he said.

He said that the two week training was about the basic training for traffic enforcers which includes the orientation on the City Traffic Code.

Last month, Abude, in a media forum said that the hiring of additional traffic personnel was approved by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and the hiring process started last March 7.

In the same media forum, Abude mentioned that they eye to deploy the additional personnel to effectively apprehend those who do not have

Public Utility Vehicle ID.
