Over the years, Lani Misalucha has earned a myriad of recognitions from different award-giving bodies here and abroad. Some of these include the Awit Award for Best Ballad Recording and for Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist, and Katha Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance back in 1999 when her carrier single, “Tunay Na Mahal”, made the charts and turned gold.
She also bagged the Aliw Award for Best Female Performance in Music Lounges, Bars, Clubs and Restaurants for four consecutive years and earned the Aliw Award for Best Major Concert by a Female Artist and the Tinig Award for Best Solo Performer as she had her first major solo concert entitled “Lani Misalucha: The Crossover Live Tour” in 2001.
In 2008, with her prominence in the Entertainment Capital of the World, she was voted the "Best Singer" by the Las Vegas Review-Journal in the 27th Annual Best of Las Vegas poll.
Just like any other phenomenal artist with humble beginnings, prior to Lani Misalucha’s undeniable success, she started as a church choir member at Ellinwood Makati Church and eventually became vocalist or back-up singer of various bands. She later worked around the lounge circuits as a soloist and became the voice behind numerous commercial jingles and karaoke tapes, thus earning the appellation, "Multiplex Queen”.
With Misalucha’s natural flair, being born into a musically-inclined family, nurtured by the unwavering support and guidance of her parents when she was young, the Asia’s Nightingale soared to become a figure praised by both local and global audiences.
