Multi-million money swindlers arrested

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Three personalities wanted for large scale estafa cases were arrested by joint operatives along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in this city on Monday, April 16.

Elements of the Provincial Intelligence Branch, 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 and San Fernando City Police Station arrested the three suspects identified as Lydia Cunanan, 58; Mandy Lou Jennyvie Bahano, 38; and Jayson Sacdalan, 34, due to their alleged involvement in multi-million estafa cases.

According to Pampanga Police Provincial Office Director Senior Superintendent Joel Consulta, the entrapment operation was conducted following the complaint filed by one Joan Manalastas Flores against the suspects.

Upon review, authorities learned that the suspects were also previously reported by alleged victims dated April 13, 2018 as allegedly involved in multi-million estafa cases victimizing businessmen within the province and other adjacent provinces in the region.

Seized pieces of evidence from the operation were two P1,000 bills, several boodle money, one unit Chevrolet Duramax Trailblazer, brown in color with Plate Number AAK 4378 and a black Nokia cellular phone.

The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Article 2152 (B) of the Revised Penal Code, or estafa.

Consulta reminded the public to be wary and more careful in trusting people, especially if it involves money.

He commended the operating team for successfully arresting such lawless elements victimizing dozens of people.
