Just keep swimming fishes of Island Buenavista

LAST Saturday, I was supposed to spend my whole day off at Tagum City but all of that changed when Friday night, my officemate, Ace Perez asked me if I could go with him for a video shoot at Island Buenavista.

And who am I to say no? I was so excited I have been asking God for days, if he could give me an island adventure and he did, and it turned out to be something more than I ever wished.

Around 8 a.m. we were aboard a boat which departed from Waterfront Hotel in Sasa.

No less than the director for sales and marketing of Island Buenavista Brenda Ocampo went with us and she gladly gave us information on the island we were bound to.

And an hour later, we saw big and small islands, and I have learned that it's Big Ligid island and the other one is Small Ligid island, which is also known as the Island Buenavista.

We were met with the pristine clear waters and white sand.

The staff gave us wet towels, and offered us welcome drinks.

The tour of the island began when we saw the different types of rooms they have and I was surprised that you can avail all of it if you will stay at the island overnight which comes with a price worth it.

It's like owning the island with the privacy, the idea of it according to maam Brenda drew more tourists, like Chinese nationals in staying at the island.

As we went with the tour, we saw the richness of the biodiversity including the marine life.

There was a portion of the island, the Gazebo where you can see an overlooking sight nearby islands and you won’t need snorkeling gear to observe fishes -- the water is that clear.

I also had the opportunity to plunge in the waters of that part of the island and it was for me a wonderful experience. I pondered, it’s like all my worries in the past days melted away. I was there and there was nothing I have in my heart but gratitude to the creator for his wonderful works and his wonderful plan for me that involved me being on that island.

When I was above the Gazebo, I took a moment to observe the fishes and I thought how free they are.

They are so vulnerable, way down below or anywhere it can meet many fishes that may eat it or far ahead, a fisherman cast its net and end it up as an ingredient of a dish served on plate, yet the fish keeps on swimming and it never gets tired of doing what it does, in its territory, without worry.

I was inspired by the fishes seriously, to take my life one step at a time. And like me finding myself on a beautiful island on my day off, the world will open the doors and make every wish in my heart come true, that is if I will just keep swimming.
