A tour at the Garden of Eden

THE Garden of Eden Restored, also known to many as Tamayong Prayer Mountain is not only a place where Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, Executive Pastor of The Kingdom of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name, stays, but it is a place called by many as a paradise.

With its postcard perfect beauty, the place became an instant tourist attraction to local and foreign tourist who visits here in the city.

The Garden of Eden Restored is situated at the 8-hectares of land at the foothill of Mt. Apo at Tamayong, Calinan District here.

It was in 1999 when the construction of the area took place, shares Cristina A. San Pedro our tour guide during our visit in the place recently.

"Dire-diretso yun within 6 months tinapos lahat ng structures ditto kasi target ni Pastor nun na ma-open siya by millennium."

As you get inside, beautiful landscapes, clean surroundings and colorful flowers and plants will greet your eyes.

"Yung mga plants naming dito may mga endemic, some of it may local yung iba galing sa abroad," San Pedro added.

To maintain the beauty of the area there are 200 workers who worked hand-in-hand from morning till afternoon just to make sure that all the plants, trees and other amenities in the area are well-taken off.

"May two cycles kami sa mga plants naming nabinubunot natin tapos papalitan ng bago. Kaya napapansin niyo buhay na buhay talaga siya."

They also limit their visitors to 100 persons a day to avoid stressing the plants in the garden.

"Napansin kasi naming na the more yung bisita na stre-stress yung mga plants, so ayaw naman naming na dahil dun masira yung lugar so we decided to limit the number of visitors," says San Pedro who also added that the P150 being paid by the visitor will be used for maintaining the entire area.

Aside from the cool and refreshing beauty of the flora and fauna in the area, you will also be amazed with the palatial buildings that serve as accommodation for the members and visitors.

San Pedro also proudly shares that the furniture and other accessories used within their accommodation areas are made by their members.

“Marami talag ang nagsasabi na baka sa abroad daw, but actually yung mga gamit namin, the paintings, curtains gawa yan lahat ng members.”

San Pedro added that the garden is an equivalent of what Pastor Quiboloy dreams for the entire world.

"The garden is the reflection sa tao na nabago ang ugali. Yung na-restore ang heart eto yun ganito ang itsura."

The garden is open to public but reservations and bookings should be done first.
