DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte was officially declared on Monday, November 20, as the standard bearer of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) for the 2016 polls.
Duterte reiterated Monday that he was never interested in running for president, but decided to do so to "save the country from being fractured."
He ended speculations on his political plans when he withdraw his certificate of candidacy (COC) for Davao City mayor and filed his COC for president in Manila last November 27, eventually ending the #DuterteSerye, which trended on social media for months.
