P700,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in several raids

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Simultaneous raids by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA-3) in Caingin, Bocaue, Bulacan and Tarlac City, Tarlac resulted in the arrest of 31 drug personalities including the seizure of a total of 200 grams of shabu amounting to P700,000 on Monday.

PDEA Regional Director Gladys Rosales said that the implementation of the first search warrant in Caingin, Bocaue, Bulacan against Ferdinand Y. Javier alias “Angko” resulted in the dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of the suspect and five others including Ronaldo J. Castillo, 34; Rodelio J. Castillo, 32; Ricardo C. Ramos, 35; Silvestre A. Senar, 50; and Emelita J. Lapi, 45.

The arrest of the suspects yielded two sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with an estimated weight of 50 grams and several drug paraphernalia.

The second raid in Bocaue, Bulacan against Jimmy A. Bautista resulted in the dismantling of another den and the arrest of the suspect and nine others including Miguel A. Bautista, 50; Miguel R. Mendoza, 21; Jimwel Mayoba, 20; Ellycar A. Adefin, 19; Leslie Grace Austria, 32; Ma. Chrisia J. Castillo, 20; Jose J. Cabral, 18; Raffy P. Lauindanum, 26; and Arnel S. Puno, 52.

The 10 suspects yielded more than 50 grams of shabu and various drug paraphernalia.

On November 28, combined elements of PDEA-3, Tarlac City Police Station, PAIDSOTF, PIB-TPPO, CIDT-Tarlac and PPSC implemented a search warrant in Barangay Sto. Cristo, Tarlac City.

The raid resulted in the dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of Carlito D. Macapinlac (subject of the search warrant) and 14 others.

Confiscated during the operation were 39 sachets of shabu weighing 100 grams and various drug paraphernalia. Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 section 6, 7, 11, 12 and 15 Article II are being readied for filing in court. (PDEA-3)
