CCSF beats other Central Luzon schools in teachers board exam

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City College of San Fernando (CCSF) bested other universities and colleges in Central Luzon on the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) on elementary and secondary education last September.

CCSF ranked first in the elementary education with an overall percentage of 71.43 percent and 88.64 percent in the secondary level.

CCSF graduates outwitted some of the leading schools in the region in the secondary education exam including the College of Holy Spirit in Tarlac with 81.82 percent, Bataan Peninsula State University with 76.19 percent, Holy Angel University with 73.38 and Angeles University Foundation with 72.00 percent.

CCSF graduates also surpassed the elementary education level, besting schools like Mabalacat City College with 70.45 percent, Holy Angel University with 63.89 percent, Pampanga State Agricultural University with 61.90 percent and Bataan Peninsula State University with 60 percent.

The Professional Regulation Commission recorded a 31.36 national percentage in elementary level wherein 21,461 of the 68,442 total examinees passed while 34,010 out of the 81,463 total takers passed in secondary education.

Mayor Edwin Santiago congratulated the graduates for a job well done.

CCSF was established in 2009 through the initiative of former city mayor and now Third District Representative Oscar Rodriguez. Since then, the school has been posting a high passing rate in teachers board exam.
