Ifugao opens malaria elimination hubs

IFUGAO will open malaria elimination hubs in areas where the disease is still prevalent.

The establishment of the hubs were ordered by Governor Denis Habawel.

Each hub will have a team of 11 staffers from the provincial health office and the Department of Health in Ifugao.

The team will carry out Malaria Disease Surveillance (MDS), establish an epidemic detection and response mechanism and stockpile anti-malaria drugs, insecticides and laboratory reagents. (ML)
