CANDABA -- The Provincial Government of Pampanga headed by Governor Lilia Pineda provided Christmas packs to the Candabeños who were severely affected by the back flooding caused typhoon "Nona".

Instead of relief operations, the government opted to call it "gift-giving" as a way of uplifting the spirits of the victim.

Some 3,000 families from Barangays Paralaya, Buas, Bambang and Pasig were the initial recipients of the 3291 goody packs from the provincial government.

Pineda, Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda and Pampanga Mayor's League Oscar Tetangco, who were supposed to distribute the goods, were stuck at San Luis and San Simon, which were also affected by the back flooding from Nueva Ecija.
