Kapampangan indie film in CineFilipino fest

THE FILM "Ang Taba Ko Kasi," directed by Jason Paul Laxamana will compete in CineFilipino film festival in February.

The movie is among the 10 finalists that will receive a P2-million grant each under the filmfest’s feature-length category.

Another Kapampangan film, Bor Ocampo’s “Digpa Ning Alti," is one of the 11 finalists in the short features.

The festival will run from February 2 to 9.

CineFilipino, which started in 2012, gives filmmakers a chance to interact with industry veterans through training seminars and workshops.

Other finalists for the feature-length category are Ice Idanan’s “Sakaling Hindi Makarating,” Alvin Yapan’s “Ang Tulay ng San Sebastian,” Carla Marie Baful’s “A Lotto Like Love,” Dexter Hemedez and Allan Ibañez’s “1st Sem,” Frank David Fabros’ “Straight to the Heart,” JP Habac’s “I’m Drunk, I Love You,” Lem Lorca’s “Ned’s Project,” Paolo Alessandro Herras’ “Buhay Habangbuhay,” and Randolph Longjas’ “Van Damme Stallone.”
