SAN Pedro College (SPC) of Davao is the fourth best performing nursing schools in the country, based on official documents released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday.
According to PRC, SPC garnered 97.73 percent of passers from the Nursing Licensure Examinations given last November 2015. Only two examinees from the school did not pass the exam given by the Board of Nursing in Davao City.
The University of Santo Tomas, Mariano Marcos State University-Batac, and Xavier University shared the top spot with 100 percent passers. Cebu Doctors University is in the second spot with 98.53 percent; Saint Louis University claimed the third spot with 98.06 percent; while Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology is on the fifth spot with 97.44 percent.
Of the 18,500 who took the exam, only 9,114 have passed, 86 of whom were from SPC.
Among the successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places coming from Davao City were Thessa Ville Laurente Miro of Davao Medical School Foundation who ranked seventh with 85.00 rating and Karl Miguel Calipayan Sahagun of SPC with an 84.40 rating.
