Air Force personnel killed in Sulu

A PERSONNEL of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) was shot and killed in the Province of Sulu, a top military official said.

Brigadier General Alan Arrojado, Joint Task Group Sulu commander, identified the victim as Airman First Class Andrew Nono, 27, who is assigned with the PAF’s 15th Strike Wing based on Sangley Point, Cavite.

Arrojado said Nono was fatally shot around 5 p.m. Friday at the back of the Mount Carmel Cathedral Church in Jolo, Sulu.

Arrojado said Nono was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

He said Nono, who is a resident of Scott Road, San Raymundo village, Jolo, was on a holiday break in his native place. (Bong Garcia)
