Major prizes await Miss Iloilo Dinagyang 2016

THE winner of the 2016 Miss Iloilo Dinagyang is set to become the Ambassadress of Goodwill of Iloilo City on top of major prizes and the beauty toast of the Ilonggos.

Overall chairman Alex Soncio said the search will have three winners this year to culminate with a pageant and grand coronation night on Wednesday, January 20, at the University of San Agustin gymnasium.

The 10 official candidates will be vying for three titles, the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Philippines and represent Iloilo City in the Miss Earth Philippines competition, Binibining Pilipinas, or Miss World Philippines.

The Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Aliwan will represent the city in the Aliwan Festival slated by April this year, and the Iloilo Dinagyang Heritage will represent the city in the national level of the competition.

Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, together with lawyer Sedfrey Cabaluna, will host the pageant night, while other guests include Miss Philippines Universe 2013 Ariella Arida, queenmaker Jonas Gaffud, Miss World Philippines director Cory Quirino, 2015 Mr. International Philippines Reniel Villareal, 2012 Manhunt International June Macasaet, 2015 Mr. Model International Arcel Yambing, and 2015 Mr. Philippines Tourism William Pagayon.

The MID candidates are Angelyn Magahum, Pauline Rose Gerochi, Mary Lee Tuble, Jhoanne Tanada, Japril Maquiling, Karla Beverly Tan, Vannesa Ann Caro, Jeanyfer Ozbot, Janielle Gracie Miranda, and Janine May Coo. (LCP)
