FIVE persons were arrested in separate drug busts conducted by personnel of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) and Police Station 1 in Bacolod City on January 20.
Police identified the suspects as Carlos Desucatan, 42, of Purok Paghidaet, Barangay 17; Medoza Rivera, 39, of Barangay 2; August Fourth Barrios, 26, of Barangay 29; Maricar Chavez, 30, of Barangay Mansilingan, all in Bacolod City; and Noel Picazo, 51, of Manapla town.
Chief Inspector Jerick Filosofo, head of CAIDSOTG, said Desucatan sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer for P200.
Police recovered from Desucatan's possession three plastic sachets of various sizes containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), drug paraphernalia, and the P200 marked money.
Senior Inspector Richard Fajarito, chief of Police Station 1, said Rivera also sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P200.
Rivera’s companions -- Picazo, Barrios, and Chavez -- were inside the house where the operation was conducted.
Police recovered from their possession three plastic sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P200 marked money.
The suspects have been detained and are facing charges.
