MISS Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach described her January 26 courtesy call on President Benigno Aquino III at Malacanang Palace as "very professional".
During her grand homecoming show at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Thursday evening, television host Boy Abunda asked the 26-year-old beauty queen how was her meeting with Aquino went.
Wurtzbach, who shares a friendly relationship with the President, said they weren't able to discuss much because her mother was sitting beside her, much to the delight of the Araneta crowd.
But kidding aside, Wurtzbach said she was "very natural" with Aquino.
"I always thought that he's a good leader with good governance. I congratulated him for a successful term and he congratulated me for Miss Universe. I just asked him what's his plans for the 50 plus remaining days before he finishes his term. What are his plans after, kung magpapahinga ba sya."
She also asked his feedback on her answer during the pageant about the American military presence in the Philippines.
"I asked him about his thoughts on my answer during the Q&A (question and answer). He said that when you spark the comment of leftists, you know you did something right."
The President also told Wurtzbach to reconsider her plans to enter politics.
"Sabi din niya, 'I heard that you'd showed some interest in running for politics. I think you should rethink it for five times."
When Abunda asked if she felt the President has a different look on her, Wurtzbach replied: "No, I think he was very professional".
To recall, Aquino had supposedly dated Wurtzbach before she was crowned Miss Universe.
In one interview, she was quoted saying, "I know him. I talk to him, yes. He's very fun to talk to." (Sunnex)
