SIX persons who are caught allegedly possessing illegal drugs in a drug bust operation launched by the authorities at 114 Victoria Heights, Mamay road in Bajada early Wednesday morning are facing charges before the City Prosecution Office.
Charges for violation of Section 11, 13, and 14 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are Nancy Cabilao Dagatan, 39, Lea Manansala Sucuaje, 44, Ronel Clores Pilotso, 35, Reymon Terana Jupia, 30, Andrew Castillo Labanon, 29, and Emelito Ampoc Cardeno, 51.
According to the Sasa police, the drug bust operation was conducted with the cooperation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDAE) in Davao Region.
Initial investigation revealed that suspect Dagatan handed a small transparent sachet of suspected shabu to a police officer who posed as a buyer where suspect Sucuaje allegedly received the drug bust money worth P1,000.
The rest of the arrested suspects were allegedly caught having a pot session in the same place where the buy-bust was conducted.
The operatives were able to confiscate an improvised tooter, aluminum foil, bamboo stick, scissors, three cellphones and a sling bag from the possession of the suspects.
The seized items were endorsed to the Sasa police station while the suspects are currently detained at the station.
Prosecutor Armand Tirol has yet to resolve the case filed against the suspects. (RCP)
