Man shoots father's 'killer'

A MAN was shot dead at a sari-sari store in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Sunday night, February 7.

Police identified the fatality as Joselito Alpichi of Sitio Carmencian, Barangay Hacienda Fe.

Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, head of Escalante City Police Station, said the victim was waylaid and gunned down by the suspect identified as Jurie Menosa of Sitio Liki in Barangay Balintawak.

The victim died on the spot due to a lone gunshot wound.

Police recovered a .38-caliber bullet from the crime scene.

Mansueto said police were looking at a grudge as the possible motive because Alpichi allegedly killed the Menosa's father years ago.

He added that police were still investigating the incident while manhunt operations against the suspect, who will face murder charges, are ongoing.
