IT was a January nuptial for Bjorn, son of Ramon and Teresita Torreon, and lovely bride Jacqueline, daughter of Amorito and Tiffany Eborlas, at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish Church in Lahug, Cebu City.

Quintessential public relations guru and now ebullient food writer Aissa de la Cruz originally hailed from Manila, but she has made Cebu her new home, due to relocation of the family to our Queen City, when hubby Ed transferred his practice here. Ed himself was born in Pangasinan, and he too, has embraced Cebu, which was many moons ago.
Aissa and Ed have both adjusted to the southern lifestyle, and each year, when she celebrates her red-letter day, her guest list always includes her fellow ManileƱos who, like her, have lived in and loved Cebu.
So on her recent birthday, Aissa treated a select ladies group to lunch at Choi City Restaurant, where who else, but the celebrant, personally chose the sumptuous menu that day.
