3 grads top PT board

THREE graduates of Cebu-based universities topped the Physical Therapist Licensure Examinations held earlier this month.

Anthony Palaran Acenas and Nancy Karen Paete Sabandal, both from the Southwestern University (SWU), placed first and fourth in the exams, respectively.

Acenas scored 89.35 percent while Sabandal earned a rating of 86 percent.

Nico Merrill Hordista of the Cebu Doctors University, on the other hand, placed third in the exams, having a rating of 86.05 percent.

No graduate from Cebu topped the recent 2016 Occupational Therapist Examinations.


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on its website that out of the 912 who took the licensure exams for physical therapists, only 521 passed.

Only 55 out of 102 examinees of the licensure exams for occupational therapists passed.

The University of the Philippines-Manila Campus and the Angeles University Foundation got high national passing percentages in the 2016 Physical Therapist Licensure Examinations.

The University of the Philippines-Manila Campus got a 100-percent national passing percentage in the 2016 Occupational Therapist Licensure Examinations.
