AS A TRIBUTE to the birth of Christianity in the Philippines, the Dinagyang Festival is celebrated every third week of January in Iloilo.

The city is known for its historical structures that can be palpated through the architectural landmarks, old churches, and museums.

The Panay Island is famous as the home of well loved Filipino delicacies.

Apart from being a religious festival, the Dinagyang Festival also showcases Philippine culture at its finest.

“Dinagyang” is an Ilonggo term to mean “Merry Making”. This is a way to show gratefulness for the bountiful harvest of the many tribes all over the island.

The city streets are lined with people eager to see the burst of colors in the parade.

Together with the thunderous beat of the drums, people are one and united saying “HalaBira”.

Millions flocked to watch the popular Iloilo Dinagyang Ati Tribe competition which is performed out on the streets.

The vibe of the “Dinagyang Festival” echoes the life in the island where people are proud of their roots and culture. In partnership with GMA, Team MX3 flew joined the revelry of this annual celebration.

MX3 believes that health is a primary component that allows us to enjoy and live life to the fullest. DMI – MX3 wants to mirror the zest for life that Philippine Festivals have.

A good balanced diet, exercise and investing in natural substances that can boost the immune system to protect our bodies is an unbeatable formula to make sure that we can be Extraordinarily Fit.

Finally to become holistically fit, MX3, apart from reaching out to our brothers and sisters in the different regions, we also remain bold and steadfast in spreading the good news of God’s word. (PR)
