MANILA -- Two moderate earthquakes shook various parts of Davao Occidental and Southern Leyte on Sunday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the first quake with a magnitude of 4.0 occurred at 3:59 a.m. and its epicenter was traced 119 kilometers (km) southeast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental. The quake had a depth of 41 kilometers.
The second tremor with a magnitude of 4.7 happened at 4:14 a.m. and its epicenter was located 34 kilometers northeast of Silago town in Southern Leyte. The quake had a depth of 202 kilometers.
Phivolcs said there were no reports of intensities, damage, casualties and aftershocks from the two tremors, which were all tectonic in origin. (PNA)
