La Buona Cucina Italiana at Seda Centrio

SEDA Centrio’s Misto, its in-house resto, is home to Chef Salvatore de Vincent from February 10 to 20, 2016 as they celebrate La Buona Cucina Italiana which translates to ‘good Italian food.’

“We know that Kagay-anons love to eat and they love to try something different every time, in terms of food and cuisine. So, we want to offer something different to the Kagay-anons,” said hotel general manager, Noel Barrameda.

“This is actually just one of a series of celebrity chefs from outside Cagayan de Oro that we are inviting to come here.”

Offering a wide range of specially-designed buffet selection for dinner, La Buona Cucina Italiana will give the city a taste of authentic Italian regional dishes. Chef Salvatore is sure to delight connoisseur and even just your regular food lovers as he gives his unique and expert touch to Misto’s regular dinner buffet. Presenting the dishes in a modern creative way, his creations are sure to excite the guests as they rediscover wonderfully tasting Italian regional fares presented in a different package.

“We’re doing this to introduce our Italian cuisine to CdeO,” said Chef Salvatore, “So the guests here, besides the Filipino cuisine, they can enjoy the Italian specialties also. In Italy, we have 20 regions and each night we will offer dishes that would cover all 20 regions, from north to south.” The buffet will feature a diverse selection of fare each night highlighting the recipes, flavors, and aromas of the different Italian regions.

The buffet is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for only 750 pesos per person.

“When I was young, I wanted to become a singer. Then one Sunday morning, I wake up and I smelled something great,” shared Chef Salvatore who grew up in Sorrento, Southern Italy, “My mom was cooking and that’s where my passion started. Every Sunday, I helped my mother.”

Chef Salvatore is a multi-awarded chef who served as executive chef for various posh hotels all over the world; in Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, UAE, the Bahamas, Spain, Jamaica, in Italy, and here in the Philippines.

“I always cook with all my heart because diners can sense a chef’s passion the way the food is presented. I wish for everyone to have a fabulous dining experience. My message is simple: sit, eat, and enjoy!”

“Here at Seda Centrio, we try to offer something different every time,” added Barrameda who furthered that there are more surprises for the Kagay-anons in the coming months as Seda Centrio lives up to this promise.
