THE salary increase for casual and regular employees of the Provincial Government will be implemented two weeks from now at the earliest, according to Provincial Budget Officer Danny Rodas.
Rodas said the Provincial Board allotted funds for this purpose in the 2016 annual budget, expecting Congress to approve the salary standardization law.
But even though Congress did not pass the law, President Benigno Aquino III issued an executive order that allows for its implementation.
Rodas said the increase ranges from 5.3 percent for the lowest-ranking employee with a salary grade 1, to 22 percent for a governor with a salary grade 30.
For example, an administrative assistant 1, who is receiving P9,478 monthly, will get a P502.33-increase. His salary will be adjusted to P9,980.33.
The governor who is paid P78,900 monthly, will get a P17,358-increase. His salary will be adjusted to P96,258.
Rodas said the Department of Budget Management sent guidelines in determining specific increases in every salary grade.
Aside from their monthly pay, Capitol will also soon receive their mid-year bonus.
Capitol has around 1,500 casual and regular employees.
