Madonna visits Filipino orphans

SUPERSTAR Madonna arrived in the Philippines last Monday for the Manila leg of her Rebel Heart Tour.

Her first order of business was to visit the Bahay Tuluyan Foundation Inc. On Tuesday afternoon, Madonna posted four photos of herself having fun with some of the orphans.

In one photo, Madonna takes an usie with three children. She captioned the photo: “Chillin with my Homies at the Bahay Tuluyan Foundation Inc. giving shelter to orphans, street children, trafficking/abuse victims in Manilla!”

Abused children are close to her heart since she admitted to have been raped when she was 19 years old.

A second photo shows Madonna raising her hat while sitting on the ground with the orphans. She aptly captioned the photo: “Hats off to the Bahay Tuluyan Foundation in Manila for taking so many kids off the street and providing food and shelter.”

Yet another photo shows the singer carrying an infant while holding hands with a girl called Celeste. Madonna stated: “Celeste gives me the guided tour of Hospicio de San Jose. Run by nuns with love.”

The most recent photo shows Madonna holding the same infant from the previous photo. This time, they are looking over a girl in a crib. She said of the photo: “Everyone needs a tickle!! Even at the Hospicio de San Jose in Manila! We are so blessed.”

Madonna was seemingly lighthearted while surrounded by children. Before she visited the orphanage, she posted a photo of her and ex-husband Guy Ritchie’s son Rocco. In the photo, Rocco, now 15, was shirtless with a garland of dandelions around his neck. He was smiling, but not looking at the camera.

Madonna captioned the photo: “I miss this boy so full of life, so full of love! I hope we see that Leo Sun soon. The light is blinding!”

Madonna and Ritchie are in the middle of an international custody battle. While Madonna was on tour, Rocco visited his father in London. But Rocco refused to go home to New York where Madonna lives with her two minor children—David Banda Mwala Ciccone Ritchie and Mercy James, both 10.

Madonna was prompted to file a legal action to force Rocco to go home but Ritchie countered the suit, saying Rocco does not want to go home.

Madonna was accompanied by David Banda and Mercy James in the Philippines, Pep.ph reported.

All her minor children, including Rocco, joined Madonna for most of her Rebel Heart Tour until the teenager decided he wanted to be with Ritchie and the latter’s family.
