THE Cagayan de Oro Electric Power and Light Company Inc. (Cepalco) announced that the two and a half-hour rotational blackouts on Friday will continue for five more days and will affect the power utility’s entire service area.
In its advisory on Friday, Cepalco said it is constrained to implement the load shedding schedule from February 26 to March 2 due to the worsening power supply shortage in Mindanao.
Cepalco said the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (Psalm) implemented further reductions in Cepalco’s hourly power supply allocations.
Below is the schedule and list of areas that would be affected by the blackout:
Meanwhile, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) had earlier advised Cepalco on the 12-hour power interruption on Sunday, February 28, as the NGCP will be facilitating high voltage bus works and commissioning of a new 100MVA Transformer No. 1 at the NGCP Aplaya Substation.
Cepalco will also conduct line maintenance works on the same day at Jasaan, Gusa and Agora to make use of the interruption.
The power outage on February 28 would be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Affected areas includes M2 Jasaan-Tagoloan 69 Kilovolts (KV) Customers, Gusa Overpass down to Lapasan up to corner Agora-Shell including Puregold and portion of corner Pimentel, Agora market area including Gaabucayan Extension and portion of Lapasan particularly Sto.Nino and Tabaco, Upper Gusa and Indahag including Alegria Hills office, Camp Alagar and CUMC hospital.
Two hour switching would also be implemented from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. which affects M2 Jasaan-Tagoloan 69 KV Customers including Cargill Philippines Inc., Villanueva, Coca-Cola plant, Villanueva, HCH Corporation in Tagoloan and Del Monte Philippines Bugo, From Villa Ernesto Subdivision and RAC Commercial towards the barangays of Cugman, Baloy, Tablon, Agusan, Puerto and Bugo, Mitimco, Firstgen, Menzi-Agri and DMPI-Manolo, Municipalities of Tagoloan, Villanueva and Jasaan.
