Capitol, partners launch Negros Blood Network

THE Negros Blood Network was launched Friday in rites held at the Social Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City.

Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, provincial health officer of Negros Occidental, said the launching was attended by representatives of lead agencies composed of the blood network.

These are the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Negros First Blood Bank, and the Philippine Red Cross.

The purpose of creating the Negros Blood Network is to address the high demand for blood, Tumimbang said.

The program involves all the local government units from the barangays to the provincial level, non-government organizations, and the Department of Health Regional Office. (TDE)
