Pete’s Patriots: A Taste of FilAm fusion

A NEWLY launched Filipino gastro pub, Pete’s Patriots, opens its doors to Kagay-anon foodies and food lovers.

Located at the Rosario Strip in Limketkai, the restaurant has a wide array of Filipino-American fusion dishes that is sure to make the every mouth waters.

“As the first Filipino Gastro Pub concept of its kind in the Philippines, we want Kagay-anons to embrace and experience the Manila Lifestyle bar concept by providing them with an unforgettable dining experience each and every time, through our mouthwatering food, quality service, and edgy ambiance,” said the resto’s marketing manager Diane Gollon.

Owned and operated by the Red Crab Group of Restaurants, Pete’s Patriots takes pride in being a part of the brand that has produced Red Crab, Seafood Island, and other Manila based concepts such as Murray’s New Orleans, Clawdaddy, Teddy's Burgers, Johnny Kahuku Hawaiian Shrimp House, and Cafe Creole.

As part of the Red Crab Group of Restaurants, Pete’s Patriots lives up to the quality and taste clients expect from the brand. Patrons will love the restaurant’s melt-in-your-mouth sous-vide dishes such as the Sous-vide Crispy Pata, slow-cooked for 12 hours in a revolutionary sous-vide machine and then fried to perfection; and the Super Sous-vide Salpicao, US beef tenderloins cooked in roasted garlic, butter, and chili oil.

Other classic favorites to try are their Sisig Sipa, grilled pork ears and chicken liver fried in lumpia wrapper pouches; house-cured smoked Bacon Belly; DIY Shawarmitas; Poutine Ala Caldereta and Patriot’s Signature Poutine; Steak and Rice Skillet; Beef Belly Ni Mayor; and seafood such as Cajun Shrimps, Rockefeller Oyster, and Spicy Adobo Mussels.

They have Pastillas jam Bar, Halo-halo, Turon and Sorbetes, and their savory Banana Beignets for desserts. Each dish is well thought of, fresh and with a modern twist, an answer to the Kagay-anons’ discriminative palate.

“As a dynamic dining destination, our customers can find themselves enjoying a sumptuous meal, or unwinding with friends while listening to our music at night,” added Diane. The gastro pub has a variety of beers including local and imported drafts, pilsen, flavored, and ales; gin and juice combos such as mango gin, rosemary pineapple, and tropical gin; micheladas and mojitos; and liquors like Bacardi, Jack Daniel, Johnny Walker, Hennessy XO, Baileys, Smirnoff, Belvedere, and Jagermeister.

And, if one has had a bit too many to drink, there’s no need to look for a different venue for ‘sabaw.’

Pete’s Patriots has several soup dishes to choose from in their aptly named Sober Sabaw menu: Cauldron of Batchoy, Boiling Papaitan, Democratic Goto, and Spicy Bulalo + Roasted Marrow.

Pete’s Patriots will have its Grand Launch and Ribbon Cutting event on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 where a lot of new items such as the Revolution 15 shot set and more exciting dishes will be launched.
