DAVAO City Councilor Diosdado Mahipus refilled the amendment to the City Land Use Plan (Clup), saying it has a corrected version of the controversial green spaces amendment.
Councilor Bernard Al-ag during the privilege hour on Tuesday presented in behalf of Mahipus the corrected version of the Clup amendment on green spaces and endorsed to the committees on rules, privileges, laws and ordinances and committee on environment.
This was vehemently protested by Chinkie Pelino of Interface Development Interventions. “It was already okayed, it was resolved, it was vetoes by the mayor, already accepted by the council but now it was refiled again,” Pelino in a media interview said.
She also questioned the stand of Councilor Mahipus who proposed the refiling of the amendment of the green spaces provision, if whether he represents the second district in the council or the developers.
She said that Councilor Al-ag already told them in the previous week that they will be included in the meeting of the stakeholders since new committee hearing will be held for the proposed amendment.
“We will wait and we will still be vigilant when the committee hearings and consultations will be conducted,” Pelino said.
