IT’S summer time. And so the Mocova’s (Misamis Oriental-Cagayan de Oro Volleyball Association) holding of the Ladies Open Beach Volleyball on March 26-27 at Marvilla Beach Resort in Opol, Misamis Oriental.
Event coordinator Alex Adeva said the two-day tourney, staking P10,000, P5,000, P3,000 and P2,000 for the top-4 team finishers, will have limited slots only.
“Click kaayo `ni nga padula kay summer time naman pero gi-limit lang namo sa pipila ka entries nga maka-una aron hapsay ang dagan,” Adeva told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.
Adeva said the beach volley they organized late last year at a resort in brgy. Bayabas, Cagayan de Oro had inspired them to initiate the summer competition.
“Lahi ang thrill ug challenge sa beach volley compared sa indoor tourney. So, palahi na sab para mas bibo,” he further said.
Cagayan de Oro’s leading private schools such as Xavier University, Corpus Christi, St. Mary’s School, Angelicum Learning Center, Capitol University, Liceo de Cagayan University and Merry Child School are expected to join the much-awaited event. (LLS)
