POLICE on Monday arrested a suspected noted drug pusher at Zone 8, Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City.
Police Chief Inspector Arvies Altiche, station commander of Bulua Police Station, nabbed suspect Arlon Cartagena through the implementation of search warrant.
Seized from Cartagena's residence were seven sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P13,000, illegal drug paraphernalia, a caliber .45 with five live ammunition, a homemade shotgun, and 1 improvised handgun.
Also confiscated were five live ammunition of the M16 rifle, 6 live ammos of a 12 gauge shotgun, 1 improvised explosive, 19 caliber .45 cartridge, two pieces .38 caliber cartridge, 1 piece pistol holster, and 25 assorted fired cartridge.
Altiche said its operating team were able to arrest Arlon's son Kingsly Cartagena, 18, Junmar Lumbre, 21, who were present inside the house when the incident happened.
Altiche disclosed they have been closely monitoring the house of Cartagena which was surprisingly busy every night for the previous months.
"Matingala gayud mi kay daghay sakyanan iyang balay, daghay ga-anha na mga tao. But ang validation man gayud sa information is very critical so gi-sure gayud na nato," Altiche said.
Meanwhile, police officers of barangay Cugman arrested its number 4 most wanted person in Purok 1 Barongcot, Dangcagan, Bukidnon.
Police Senior Inspector Ian Borinaga, Cugman Station Commander said suspect Joel Mondejar, 38, resident of the same town.
Borinaga said Mondejar was wanted for homicide when he killed his neighbor back in 2009.
Suspects are currently detained at Maharlika Police Headquarters.
