THE Supreme Court granted Tuesday former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's request for a furlough on her 69th birthday next month.

Arroyo has been allowed to spend three days, from 8 a.m. on April 4 until 5 p.m. on April 6, at her home at the La Vista Subdivision, Quezon City.

The incumbent Pampanga Representative is set to turn 69 on April 5.

Arroyo initially requested a five-day furlough from April 3 to April 7 so she could spend her birthday on April 5 with family and friends.

Arroyo is currently under hospital arrest at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City. (Sunnex)
