Dole offices told to endorse PhilJobNet to applicants

IN ANTICIPATION of the huge number of job seekers after the graduation season, the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) has directed all of its 16 regional offices in the Philippines to help in promoting the enhanced PhilJobNet.

“Dole regional offices, under the leadership of our regional directors, should be aggressive in promoting the enhanced PhilJobNet. Graduation is just around the corner, and soon after, it is job hunting season once again. We are ready with the enhanced PhilJobNet,” Dole Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said.

Data showed that there were 123,757 jobs in the local labor market recorded in the PhilJobNet between December 1, 2015 and January 31, 2016.

Dole records also show that there were 32,533 job vacancies in various overseas destinations.

Due to the availability of jobs abroad, Baldoz said Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (Polos) have also been directed to promote the usage of the PhilJobNet.

“Overseas Filipino workers may just get their dream jobs through the said job and applicant matching system,” Baldoz said.

The PhilJobNet can be accessed at www.philjobnet.ph and on its Facebook and LinkedIn accounts. (HDT/Sunnex)
