Fashion Weekend: Runway hits

DAVAO designers have found a platform to showcase their talent and expertise, and gave the audience a very good reason why they shouldn’t search too far for great fashion finds.

As Preview Magazine’s Creative Fashion Editor, Loris Peña said, “The way they think is very global.”

The designs are very modern and wearable, the aesthetics strong. From the roster of 16 new generation and established designers, here are the runway hits.

Neil Jimlani came up with breezy numbers, a girl’s best friend this summer season; Bianca Sabellan’s woven checkerboard pattern yields a sexy detail; Jun Artajo and Wilson Limon are turning masters of sporty separates and fabric treatment.

Aztec Barba’s crimson numbers were his scene-stealers; Bamab Limon displayed his maturity and confidence in his well-cut denim wearables; Benjie Panizales went coquettish with canary colored frills; Dodjie Batu’s biased detailed pieces were his aces in the snowy collection; Windel Mira’s play on fabrics and cuts gave excitement to white; Emi Englis pale dual tones were alluring and sexy; and Edgar Buyan came out very strong with a playful, well-styled summer offering.

This is just the start of something big for Davao. Congratulations and keep Davao fashionable!
