IN celebration of Madrid Fusion Manila, SM City Cebu and the Department of Tourism bring the richness of culinary heritage to the Cebuanos through demonstrations by gourmet chefs on April 13, 5 p.m. at the Northwing Atrium.
Dubbed “Epicurious: Culinary Demonstrations by Gourmet Chefs,” the event will feature Café Laguna’s innovative chef Raki Urbina in collaboration with Cebu’s culinary icon Madame Teresin Mendezona.
Held simultaneously all over the country in different venues, the second Flavors of the Philippines aims to create bridges through food, cook-offs, food and market tours and bazaars.
With April also declared as the National Food Month, the different regions will showcase the best that their areas have to offer.
Madrid Fusion Manila (MFM) is the first and only Asian edition of Madrid Fusion, the most important international gastronomy congress in the world, celebrated annually in Madrid since 2003. MFM brings together the most acclaimed avant-garde chefs from across the globe. On its first year, the theme of the congress was “The Philippines and Spain: A 300-year Gastronomic Journey.” (PR)
