Pangan: Completed trainings

PESO MABALACAT CITY, the 2015 Best Provincial and Regional Peso awardee, has completed so far the following trainings in accordance with its calendar of activities: slaughtering training, conducted by Global Experts School of Science and Technology, SMAW welding by International Technopreneur and basic computer literacy, by Ace Computer Institute.

Already completed were: basic sewing training conducted by Ace Computer Institute, pursuant to the BUB project requirement and tile setting and electrical installation and maintenance by MCA Builders.

Ace Computer Institute, which conducted the training of the 3rd batch of sewers (some 59 of them) had its BUB graduation ceremony on April 7, 2016 at the Jade Hall, Xevera complex. Present were: Elenita R.

Ordonio, OIC Provincial Director, Department of Trade and Industry, Pampanga, who was the guest speaker Ria Laxa and others, Councilors Eddie D. Sotto, board member-to be Benny D. Jocson, come backing councilor Jerry Basilio and Rox D. Peña.

In the afternoon of April 7, 2016, MCA Builders held its graduation ceremony for tile setting and electrical installation and maintenance. On hand to represent the LGU were: Councilors Geld Aquino, Eddie D.

Sotto, Rox D. Peña and Carlo Niño C. Rivera. These councilors were invited to bear witness to the completion of trainings, the budget for which they approved in the last budget hearing in Subic.

Still to be implemented are the following trainings: contact center, by Global Experts; computer hardware servicing by Ace Computer and various short-term courses by International Tecnopreneur, Inc., such as cosmetology and crocheting.

KRT International Training Center and Hakkyo School implemented Korean language tutorial for 70 trainees.

The LGU provided scholarships for the trainees.

The summer job or the Special Program for the Employment of Students or SPES will start on April 12. This is one activity of PESO Mabalacat City

which aims to provide financial assistance to poor but deserving students. The Department of Labor and Employment provides the 40 percent counterpart of the salary of the students who will work for 20 days. Some 183 students were qualified in the 2016 SPES of Mabalacat City.
