Heart Evangelista responds to husband's critics

AFTER receiving mixed reactions from netizens over his way of speaking at the vice presidential debate last Sunday, actress Heart Evangelista came to the defense of her husband, Senator Francis Escudero.

On her Instagram account, the actress-television host posted a quote from a supporter.

It read: "Tulad ng waze gusto mo man o ayaw ang boses na nagsasalita sa app, dadalhin ka naman niya sa destinasyon na hangad mong puntahan."

Evangelista also wrote: "#SayChiz be like a flowing water. Only through its softness that it breaks the rock, and finds itself in the immensity of the sea."

In a separate post, the actress added that she is proud of her husband as he "stayed with the good and kept your dignity".

Evangelista said she is proud to be standing beside a "good man".

Last Sunday, the actress said her husband did a "very good job" during the PiliPinas vice presidential debate held at University of Sto. Tomas.

She said the event was "stressful" but Escudero was able to present himself well.

"Okay naman (ang kanyang performance). Nakaka-stress pala 'yung ganun, it's my first time. Ngayon ko lang na-experience."

"Parang din nanan sa showbiz, ganun din talaga yata. Buti na lang na train ako ng 18 years kaya medyo okay ako. Pero nakaka-stress, hindi ko maipagkakaila," she said.

Escudero is the running mate of independent presidential candidate Senator Grace Poe. (Sunnex)
