FOUR men were arrested and several sachets of suspected shabu worth P11,800 were confiscated in different operations in Cebu City last Thursday.
In Barangay Kasambagan, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Police Station 4 led by Police Insp. Vincent Zozobrado conducted a checkpoint on F. Cabahug St. at 11:30 p.m.
The police said that every time they conduct checkpoints, they observed that some motorcycle-riders turn about to avoid the inspection.
The CCPO officers chased three of the suspects and arrested them when they were not able to show pertinent papers in driving the motorcycle vehicle.
These were Ralph Shaquille Salada Tolilis, 21, of Barangay Cabangcalan, Mandaue City; Joshua Naquenes Gungob, 31, of Barangay Mantija, Danao City; and Waiber Guiseo, 28, of Barangay Saksak, Danao City.
The items seized from Tolilis possession include a pack of suspected shabu; a disposable syringe, one ampoule of Nubain;
At least 10 live bullets of unknown caliber were seized from Gungob and one .22 magnum revolver and five live ammunitions were found in Guiseo’s possession.
In another operation, Neil Abangan Tibay, 20, of Sitio Tal-ot, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City, was arrested through the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Soliver Peras of the Regional Trial Court Branch 21.
Tibay is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
All the evidence were submitted to the PNP Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
Complaints for violation of the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects. Merlisa Betito, CNU intern
