ELEVEN persons, including a top drug personality, were arrested in separate drug busts in Bacolod City Friday.
In Barangay Granada, the police apprehended the station’s number one drug personality Vicente Latoya Jr., 52, with his live-in partner Susan Discotido, 59, both residents of Charito Heights Subdivision, police records showed.
Found in their possession were one big and four small sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), drug paraphernalia, a cellphone, the P200 marked money, and cash worth P300.
Operatives of City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group led by Chief Inspector Jerick Filosofo with coordination with Police Station 6 led by Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel arrested Francisco Epogon, 26, of Sitio Nabilog in Barangay Amontay, Binalbagan town.
His two companions Angelica Peruelo, 18, of Purok Kingfisher in Barangay 16 and Janine Layson, 21, of Hacienda Sagrado in Barangay Zone 16, Talisay City were also caught in a “pot session” during the drug bust at Lopez Jaena Street in Barangay 31 at around 11:30 p.m.
Police seized from them an elongated sachet of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, cash proceeds amounting to P110, a .45 caliber with magazine and six ammunition.
Over at Barangay Mansilingan, Susan Bendanillo, 50; Benjamin Vivas, 44; and Fermin Golez, 23, all of Purok Kabugwason, were arrested at around 6 p.m.
Police recovered from them three small and three big sachets of suspected shabu, P100 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P200 in cash.
Also arrested was Renz Tionko, 28, of Barangay 4, Silay City, after he yielded two big sachets of suspected shabu at Purok Riverside, Barangay Bata at around 2:40 p.m.
Two suspects who are under the drug watchlist of Police Station 2 were also arrested at Purok Cagaycay in Barangay 2, after police recovered from them eight elongated and one small sachets of suspected shabu, reports from Bombo Radyo Bacolod said.
