AFTER a crushing win over the heftier Acidus Farm, Focus dribblers were at it again blasting Cugman Villa Flora by more than 20-point victory on Friday night for a rousing start in the 2016 Barangay Gusa Summer basketball tournament in Cagayan de Oro City.
Suiting up for the Ilaw ng Bayan team of Kuya Kenneth Kho for the first time, Misamis Oriental Provincial Board Member Emmanuel Mugot played like Stephen Curry as Focus nabbed its second-straight triumph in the civic division.
“It was a good start we just hope nga ma-sustain ang momentum kay mga bug-at na ang sunod nga pairing,” said Team Focus’ 68-year-old wonder Rey Leandro Asuncion, even citing the powerhouse Subokin that recently debuted with a 17-point blowout of Green CdeO Eagles.
The wards of Dr. Welbourne Neri, however, rebounded from their opening game debacle when Acidus Farm failed to show up in their scheduled match over the weekend.
